Deect is a ultilingual, associative, concept-based dictionary;
language learning and translation portal.
A word may have multiple meaning in a given language. The meaning is a distinct concept that can contain multiple words even in multiple languages. Our dictionary is based on the experience that the foreign words that are connected through a concept can be translation-pairs, therefore it is much easier to translate between any particular languages if their words are connected at concept level.
The project started in 2009, run as beta-test in 2010, and the development received resources and higher priority in 2011. In the near future we expect to re-open the registration and the flashcard-module.
Deect is developed and operated by the Agilord group, the project is coordinated by Istvan Soos.
